Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) is a hormone produced by the placenta in pregnant women. It can be detected in urine 7 to 10 days after conception, which makes it the ideal pregnancy indicator.

In this test, the urine sample is placed directly on the strip; no previous treatment of the urine is necessary.
